   i had to have surgery for mine when i was very young. That was very bad. I seriously hope that you find a way to fix it..

   but I was told to soak my foot in salt water.. that may have been to stop infection..

   soak your toe in a mixture of water and sea salt……
   you can also try soaking your toe in a mixture of water and hydrogen peroxide…

   the surgery is not that expensive, and it will make it so that you will never get ingrown toenails again, as long as you live.

   You can just clip the corner of the nail off. Sometimes when you trim your nails you leave a sharp edge on the side. If you have continuing problems I recommend a pedicure. These professionals are taught how to deal with minor toenail problems. Also check to see if you have shoes that are a little too snug on the toes. They encourage bad toenail growth.
